James Conant received one of the first Research Stipends in Practical Ethics for IUB undergraduates. James, a senior in political science and philosophy, studied the Oregon Basic Health Services Act of 1989 and related acts to create an argument for universal access to health care. James gave a presentation on his paper at the Poynter Center May 1, 2006 as a part of the project. His advisor was Professor Sandra Shapshay from Philosophy. |
